My new short story: “Welcome to the Hundred-Mile-High Club”
June 11, 2024
It’s 2035. The space tourism industry that began in the 2020s is now a booming business. Rockets blast off every day, carrying scores of eager passengers on short, expensive rides far above our world. One of the tour companies is StarMagic, which offers its customers a chance to have weightless, acrobatic sex in a 21-century version of the “mile-high club.”
Abby, whose father worked for NASA, has always hoped to get into space. Despite some misgivings, she agrees to her husband’s plan for an anniversary flight aboard a StarMagic spacecraft. However, their zero-g holiday is weighed down by the marital and sexual tensions they couldn’t leave behind on Earth.
I hope you enjoy, “ Welcome to the Hundred-Mile-High Club” (which, as you might imagine, includes a pretty graphic sex scene). Thanks to Adelaide Literary Magazine for publishing it. Please check out the other fine work on their site.
